Hungry Jack’s Menu Prices 2026: Whopper, Brekky & kJ

⚡ Nutrition from Hungry Jack’s own guides
Last updated: November 2026

Quick Answer: What’s on the Hungry Jack’s Menu, and What Does It Cost?

Hungry Jack’s sells flame-grilled Whopper burgers, Grill Masters Angus burgers, Jack’s Fried Chicken, Brekky wraps and rolls, thick cut chips, Storm desserts and Jack’s Cafe coffee. It doesn’t print prices on its website. A November 2026 list collected at a Melbourne store puts a Whopper at $12.35, a Cheeseburger at $5.90 and a Bacon Deluxe at $13.45. Below is the full menu, with energy, protein and sodium taken from Hungry Jack’s own nutrition guides.

Hungry Jack’s is the Burger King franchise in Australia. Its menu is built around the Whopper, but by late 2026 it covers far more than burgers: Grill Masters Angus, fried and grilled chicken, a breakfast range sold as “Brekky”, and a barista coffee brand called Jack’s Cafe.

Prices are the part people search for most, and they’re also the hardest to pin down. Hungry Jack’s menu pages show the food, not the price. So this guide does two things. It uses Hungry Jack’s own nutrition PDFs for every kilojoule, protein and sodium figure. And for prices, it puts two third-party lists side by side, so you can see how much they disagree.

Hungry Jack’s Menu Prices in Australia (2026)

Hungry Jack’s doesn’t publish a national price list. A third-party list collected at a Melbourne restaurant and dated 1 November 2026 shows a Whopper at $12.35, Double Whopper at $16.45, Cheeseburger at $5.90 and Bacon Deluxe at $13.45. An older list dated August 2026 shows the same burgers $0.50 to $4.00 cheaper.

Each restaurant sets its own prices, so neither list is “the” price. The Melbourne list says so itself, and Hungry Jack’s Penny Pinchers page notes that “Delivery prices vary.” Here is how the two lists compare on the items they both carry:

Item Melbourne store list (1 Nov 2026) Aussie Menu list (7 Aug 2026) Gap
Whopper $12.35 $9.95 $2.40
Whopper Cheese $13.30 $10.75 $2.55
Double Whopper $16.45 $12.95 $3.50
Bacon Deluxe $13.45 $11.95 $1.50
Cheeseburger $5.90 $4.95 $0.95
Double Cheeseburger $8.35 $6.95 $1.40
BBQ Cheeseburger $5.95 $5.45 $0.50
Chicken Royale $13.95 $9.95 $4.00
Classic Jack’s Fried Chicken $14.40 $10.95 $3.45
Grilled Chicken $12.60 $10.45 $2.15
BBQ Brekky Wrap $9.70 $7.95 $1.75
Jack’s Brekky Roll $10.50 $6.95 $3.55
Hash Brown $3.00 $2.95 $0.05

The gap isn’t random. Every item is dearer on the newer list, and the Chicken Royale, Jack’s Brekky Roll and Double Whopper moved the most. Two explanations fit: prices rose between August and November, or the August list was out of date when it was published. It’s probably both. Some of its item names, such as “Angus Classic” and “Southern Style Tenders” without a piece count, don’t match anything on Hungry Jack’s current menu pages.

One price sits oddly in the table: the Chicken Royale at $13.95. Hungry Jack’s own app deals page offers a Chicken Royale plus a Medium Coke for $5 on pickup, and lists the Chicken Royale under Penny Pinchers. So the listed counter price and what most people pay for that burger can be very different. More on that in the app deals section.

Whopper & Beef Burgers: Prices and Kilojoules

The standard Whopper is a 280 g burger with 2,437 kJ, 28.1 g of protein and 846 mg of sodium, according to Hungry Jack’s November 2026 nutrition guide. That’s about 28% of the 8,700 kJ average adult daily intake Hungry Jack’s quotes. A Cheeseburger is 1,347 kJ.

Hungry Jack’s calls the Whopper its largest burger and says it has been an Aussie favourite for over 40 years. The beef range now runs from a $3.20 Hamburger to the Ultimate Double Whopper, which tops 4,400 kJ.

Burger Price (Melbourne) Energy Protein Sodium
Hamburger $3.20 1,192 kJ 13.5 g 460 mg
Cheeseburger $5.90 1,347 kJ 15.8 g 619 mg
BBQ Cheeseburger $5.95 1,415 kJ 15.8 g 513 mg

Bacon Deluxe $13.45 2,142 kJ 29.7 g 858 mg
Angry Whopper $14.05 3,048 kJ 33.9 g 1,137 mg
Double Whopper $16.45 3,543 kJ 47.4 g 905 mg
Double Whopper Cheese $16.70 4,152 kJ 56.4 g 1,533 mg
Ultimate Double Whopper $18.05 4,401 kJ 62.9 g 1,959 mg

Limited-time beef burgers in late 2026

Hungry Jack’s “What’s New” tiles in November 2026 include the Cheese Lovers Whopper, the Double Cheese Lovers Whopper, the Cheesy Cheeseburger and the Big Jack range. Its nutrition guide marks the Cheese Lovers Whopper as a trial item at 3,540 kJ and 1,345 mg of sodium. The double version reaches 4,956 kJ, more than half of an average adult’s daily energy in one burger.

The Cowboy Whopper is listed as limited time too. The double version carries 2,114 mg of sodium, the highest of any beef burger in the guide.

Grill Masters Angus Burgers

Grill Masters is Hungry Jack’s Angus range. The Melbourne list prices single Grill Masters burgers from $15.75 to $17.80 and doubles from $19.40 to $22.05. The Grill Masters Angus, Bacon & Cheese has 3,390 kJ and 50.8 g of protein, per Hungry Jack’s June 2026 guide.

Hungry Jack’s describes the patties as Aussie Angus beef, flame-grilled. These are the heaviest burgers on the menu. Most of the doubles in Hungry Jack’s guide top 4,900 kJ.

Grill Masters burger Price (Melbourne) Energy Protein Sodium
Angus, Bacon & Cheese $15.75 3,390 kJ 50.8 g 1,242 mg
Double Angus, Bacon & Cheese $19.40 5,468 kJ 89.3 g 1,623 mg
Smoky Chipotle Angus $16.25 3,213 kJ 45.7 g 1,072 mg
Chicago Angus $16.90 3,329 kJ 45.7 g 966 mg
Cowboy Angus $17.25 3,896 kJ 51.5 g 1,268 mg
Spicy Chipotle Angus $17.80 3,365 kJ 46.0 g 962 mg
Double Cowboy Angus $21.95 5,661 kJ 84.9 g 1,497 mg

Here’s the part that surprises people. The Double Angus, Bacon & Cheese is the most expensive beef option in this table, yet it gives the most protein per dollar on the whole menu: about 4.6 g per dollar at the Melbourne price. If protein is what you’re paying for, the big burger is the cheap one. If kilojoules matter more, it’s the worst pick here, at 63% of an average day’s energy.

Chicken Burgers, Tenders and Nuggets

Hungry Jack’s chicken range has three burger families: Jack’s Fried Chicken, Grilled Chicken and the Chicken Royale. The Classic Jack’s Fried Chicken has 2,843 kJ and 36.1 g of protein. The Grilled Chicken Classic has 1,465 kJ and 22.4 g, the lightest full-size chicken burger on the menu.

Chicken item Price (Melbourne) Energy Protein Sodium
Chicken Royale $13.95 1,404 kJ 11.5 g 622 mg
Grilled Chicken (Classic) $12.60 1,465 kJ 22.4 g 661 mg
Spicy Grilled Chicken $12.60 1,388 kJ 22.4 g 723 mg
Classic Jack’s Fried Chicken $14.40 2,843 kJ 36.1 g 1,216 mg
Spicy Jack’s Fried Chicken $14.40 3,025 kJ 36.1 g 1,316 mg
Classic Jack’s Fried Chicken, Cheese & Bacon $16.35 3,126 kJ 41.7 g 1,590 mg
Napoletana Jack’s Fried Chicken $17.00 3,250 kJ 43.1 g 1,728 mg
3 Southern Style Tenders $11.10 2,393 kJ 23.7 g 1,816 mg
5 Southern Style Tenders $15.35 3,633 kJ 39.2 g 2,835 mg

The tenders deserve a warning. Five Southern Style Tenders carry 2,835 mg of sodium, more than any burger in the Whopper & Beef guide. Most of that comes from the coating, so the tenders are a much saltier way to get chicken than a grilled burger.

Nuggets come in 3, 6, 12 and 18 packs with sauce. Hungry Jack’s guide lists a 6 pack at 1,092 kJ, 14.8 g of protein and 458 mg of sodium. The Melbourne list prices 6 Nuggets & Sauce at $10.60.

Hungry Jack’s Brekky Menu and Breakfast Hours

Hungry Jack’s breakfast is sold before 11am. Its FAQ says most stores serve breakfast from 5am to 11am and some from 6am to 11am, with main menu items available all day. The BBQ Brekky Wrap is listed at $9.70 on the Melbourne list, and a Hash Brown at $3.00 with 685 kJ.

That 5am start is earlier than many people expect, and earlier than some price sites state. If you’re on the road before 6am, the app or the store page will tell you whether your local restaurant is one of the 5am stores.

Brekky item Price (Melbourne) Energy Protein Sodium
Hash Brown $3.00 685 kJ 1.4 g 244 mg
Bacon & Egg Turkish Brekky Roll $8.50 929 kJ 13.3 g 518 mg
Sausage & Egg Turkish Brekky Roll $8.65 2,045 kJ 26.6 g 798 mg
Big BBQ Brekky Wrap $10.95 2,602 kJ 28.4 g 1,073 mg
Mega BBQ Brekky Wrap $13.30 4,027 kJ 55.0 g 1,608 mg
Jack’s Brekky Roll $10.50 2,477 kJ 34.7 g 1,048 mg
Ham & Cheese Toastie $5.95 1,201 kJ 15.5 g 682 mg
Cheese Toastie $4.95 1,087 kJ 11.3 g 412 mg
French Toast Fingers (4) $6.00* 1,852 kJ 1.9 g 414 mg
Eggs Benny Brekky Wrap (limited time) — 2,624 kJ 32.3 g 1,142 mg

Hungry Jack’s also says it only uses cage-free, freshly cracked eggs. That’s the company’s own claim on its About page, and it applies across the Brekky range.

Sides and Snacks: Thick Cut Chips, Onion Rings, Nuggets

Hungry Jack’s sells thick cut chips in small, medium and large. Per Hungry Jack’s September 2026 guide, a small has 1,063 kJ, a medium 1,289 kJ and a large 1,843 kJ. Small Thick Cut Chips are on the Penny Pinchers value menu.

Hungry Jack’s switched from traditional fries to thick cut chips, which its About page lists among its “Keeping It Real” changes. That’s why older price lists still say “fries”.

Side Energy Protein Sodium
Thick Cut Chips, Small (89 g) 1,063 kJ 3.1 g 489 mg
Thick Cut Chips, Medium (108 g) 1,289 kJ 3.8 g 593 mg
Thick Cut Chips, Large (155 g) 1,843 kJ 5.4 g 848 mg
Onion Rings, Medium 1,196 kJ 2.6 g 336 mg
Onion Rings, Large 1,794 kJ 3.9 g 503 mg
6 Nuggets 1,092 kJ 14.8 g 458 mg
12 Nuggets 2,183 kJ 29.6 g 916 mg
6 Nuggets & Large Chips Snack Box 2,938 kJ 20.2 g 1,307 mg

Prices for sides were the weakest part of both third-party lists. The Melbourne list gives one price, $3.45, for Thick Cut Chips without saying which size, and $5.20 for onion rings. Treat those as a rough guide only.

Desserts, Shakes and Jack’s Cafe Coffee

Hungry Jack’s desserts are the Storm range, sundaes, the Soft Serve Cone, Sticky Date Pudding and the Drumstick Mini. A Soft Serve Cone has 1,281 kJ and a small Chocolate Sundae 1,574 kJ, per Hungry Jack’s November 2026 desserts guide. Jack’s Cafe sells barista coffee at participating restaurants.

Dessert Energy Note
Drumstick Mini 603 kJ Lightest dessert
Sticky Date Pudding 960 kJ 1,382 kJ with ice cream
Soft Serve Cone 1,281 kJ —
Chocolate Sundae, Small / Large 1,574 / 2,227 kJ —
Caramel Sundae, Small / Large 1,632 / 2,285 kJ —
Storm OREO 1,758 kJ —
Storm CADBURY FLAKE 2,166 kJ —
Biscoff Storm 2,606 kJ —
Pistachio Storm (limited time) 2,874 kJ —

A Biscoff Storm has more energy than a Whopper. That isn’t a reason to skip it, but it’s worth knowing if you’re adding one to a meal.

Jack’s Cafe

Jack’s Cafe is Hungry Jack’s barista coffee brand. Its menu page lists more than 20 drinks, from Cappuccino, Flat White and Latte to Iced Dirty Chai and a Babyccino, at participating Jack’s Cafe restaurants only. Hungry Jack’s FAQ also describes a coffee offer where the fifth eligible Jack’s Cafe barista coffee is free after four, but it names participating restaurants in the NT and Tasmania, so don’t count on it elsewhere.

Veggie and Plant-Based Whopper

Hungry Jack’s Veggie Range has six burgers, including the Plant Based Whopper and the Veggie Whopper Cheese. Its veggie patty is made from corn, capsicum and carrot, per the menu page. The Plant Based Whopper has 2,317 kJ and 24.6 g of protein in Hungry Jack’s January 2026 guide.

Veggie burger Energy Protein Sodium
Veggie Whopper Cheese 2,277 kJ 17.6 g 1,162 mg
Plant Based Whopper 2,317 kJ 24.6 g 1,154 mg
Plant Based Whopper Cheese 2,630 kJ 29.6 g 1,306 mg
Angry Veggie Whopper Cheese 2,586 kJ 18.5 g 1,448 mg
Double Veggie Whopper Cheese 2,900 kJ 21.5 g 1,531 mg

Two things stand out. First, the Plant Based Whopper has about the same energy as the beef Whopper, 2,317 kJ against 2,437 kJ. Second, it carries more sodium: 1,154 mg against 846 mg. So “plant based” here means a different protein source, not a lighter burger. Hungry Jack’s lists the Plant Based and Veggie Whoppers as separate products; only the Veggie patty is described as corn, capsicum and carrot.

Kids Packs

Hungry Jack’s sells four Kid’s Packs: Hamburger, Cheeseburger, 6 Nuggets and 3 Nuggets. Each comes with a choice of side salad or small thick cut chips, a drink and a randomly selected toy, per the Kids menu page.

The side choice changes the numbers a lot. In Hungry Jack’s January 2026 kids guide, a Hamburger Kid’s Meal with salad comes to 1,171 kJ, while the Cheeseburger Kid’s Meal with chips comes to 2,359 kJ. The kids side salad itself is just 32 kJ. The Melbourne list prices the Hamburger and Cheeseburger Kid’s Packs at $7.65 each, though that figure came from a summarised part of the page, so check it in-store.

Best Value on the Hungry Jack’s Menu: Protein and Energy per Dollar

Using Melbourne store prices and Hungry Jack’s own nutrition figures, the Grill Masters Double Angus, Bacon & Cheese gives the most protein per dollar, about 4.6 g. The $3.20 Hamburger is next at 4.2 g, the best of the cheap burgers. The Chicken Royale gives the least, under 1 g per dollar at full price.

No other Hungry Jack’s guide we found does this calculation, so here it is. We divided each burger’s protein and energy by its Melbourne price. It’s a blunt measure, but it shows which items fill you up for the money.

Item Price Protein per $1 kJ per $1 Share of 8,700 kJ day
Grill Masters Double Angus, Bacon & Cheese $19.40 4.6 g 282 63%
Hamburger $3.20 4.2 g 372 14%
Triple Cheeseburger $10.45 3.5 g 250 30%
Ultimate Double Whopper $18.05 3.5 g 244 51%
Double Cheeseburger $8.35 3.2 g 237 23%
Cheeseburger $5.90 2.7 g 228 15%
Classic Jack’s Fried Chicken $14.40 2.5 g 197 33%
Whopper $12.35 2.3 g 197 28%
Bacon Deluxe $13.45 2.2 g 159 25%
Grilled Chicken $12.60 1.8 g 116 17%
Chicken Royale $13.95 0.8 g 101 16%

Our take on the numbers: the Double Cheeseburger is the sensible middle. It gives more protein per dollar than a Whopper, costs $4 less, and sits under a quarter of an average day’s energy. The Whopper’s appeal is the salad and the size of the bun, not the value.

Two limits on this table. It uses full prices, so app deals change it. A Chicken Royale bought through the $5 app deal works out at 2.3 g of protein per dollar, not 0.8 g, and that’s before counting the Coke. And it ignores sodium, which matters more than price for some readers.

Hungry Jack’s App: Deals, Shake & Win and Penny Pinchers

Hungry Jack’s runs its cheapest prices through the app. Its app deals page lists a $2.50 Small Coffee, a $5 Chicken Royale + Medium Coke, and $12 for 2 Whopper Juniors + 2 Medium Chips, all pickup only. Shake & Win gives app users two shakes a day for a prize.

App deal (Hungry Jack’s app deals page) Price
Small Coffee $2.50
Medium Iced Coffee $3.50
Sticky Date Pudding $3
Chicken Royale + Medium Coke $5
2 Whopper Junior + 2 Medium Chips $12

Shake & Win

The app gives you two shakes a day for a prize. Per Hungry Jack’s FAQ, you have 30 seconds to accept a prize and 30 minutes to redeem it.

Free birthday Whopper

Hungry Jack’s website says that adding your birth date gets you a free birthday Whopper.

Penny Pinchers

The everyday value menu includes the Cheesy Cheeseburger, BBQ Cheeseburger, Chicken Royale, Small Thick Cut Chips and Large Frozen Drinks, at participating restaurants.

Pre-order price

Hungry Jack’s FAQ says pre-ordering prices are the same as counter prices, with a $1.00 minimum spend.

Delivery is where prices climb. Hungry Jack’s own Penny Pinchers page says delivery prices vary, and the app deals don’t apply to delivery at all. If price matters, order for pickup.

Why Burger King Is Called Hungry Jack’s in Australia

Jack Cowin opened the first Hungry Jack’s in Innaloo, Perth, in 1971, per Hungry Jack’s About page. The name exists because “Burger King” was already a registered trademark held by a takeaway in Adelaide, so Cowin used a variant of “Hungry Jack”, a Pillsbury pancake mix brand.

That trademark story is reported by Wikipedia and several news outlets. Hungry Jack’s own page doesn’t tell it, though its page title still reads “The Burger King Franchise In Australia”. Burger King Corporation later challenged the arrangement in court, and the courts sided with Hungry Jack’s, which is why the Hungry Jack’s name is still on the stores.

Today Hungry Jack’s describes itself as Aussie-owned, with more than 480 restaurants, over 19,000 staff and more than 2 million customers a week. It also says it serves more than 125 million Australian beef patties a year. Those are the company’s own figures from its About page.

Comparing chains? Our Burger King breakfast menu guide covers the US version of the brand, and the McDonald’s menu and KFC menu with prices guides cover two of Hungry Jack’s biggest rivals.

How We Researched This Hungry Jack’s Guide

Every kilojoule, protein and sodium figure comes from Hungry Jack’s own nutrition PDFs, linked from its Nutrition Info page. We read nine of them, dated between January and November 2026, and used the per-serve columns. Menu names, Brekky hours, app deals and company figures come from Hungry Jack’s menu pages, FAQ and About page, read on 3 November 2026.

Prices come from two third-party lists, because Hungry Jack’s doesn’t publish them. We trust the Melbourne list more, since it names where its prices came from, but neither is official. The protein-per-dollar table is our own calculation.

What we left out: Hungry Jack’s guide lists the Whopper Junior at 633 kJ but with 18.2 g of fat, which alone would supply more energy than that. Because those figures can’t both be right, we’ve left the Whopper Junior out of our tables.
